Move to Shopify without losing sleep.

Shopify migration from WooCommerce, Magento, Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce, or a rescue for a Shopify store that’s been patched by five different freelancers. Nothing lost, nothing down.

Typical timeline

How we bill

Fixed fee, staged

( The whole point )

Your old store keeps selling until the minute the new one takes over. Zero downtime.

URL map 3,412 rows

/product/rope-halter-14 301 /products/rope-halter
/collections.php?c=42 301 /collections/tack
/blog/post?id=87 301 /blogs/journal/fit-guide
/index.php/cart 301 /cart

Every old address mapped to a new one and tested before cutover. That map is why the traffic graph does not blink.

/ The checklist

Everything moves with you.

The scary part of a platform move is what gets left behind. Our checklist is long and boring on purpose:

+Products, variants, and images

+Customers and their order history

+SEO rankings, every URL redirected

+Reviews, ratings, and photos

+Gift cards and store credit

+Blog posts and landing pages

+Discount codes that still work

+Email flows, reconnected

( Already on Shopify? )

We also do rescues.

Inherited a store held together by forgotten apps and mystery code? We untangle it: audit what’s there, remove what fights you, rebuild what’s worth keeping, and leave it documented.

Week 1Full audit: theme, apps, speed, and what’s actually costing you.

Wk 2–4The untangling, shipped in safe, visible steps.

/ Fit

When it’s time to move, and when it isn’t.

Replatforming is mostly risk management. The design is the easy part; keeping your rankings, your data and your customers is the job.

( Move if… )

+You’re moving from WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce or a custom build

+A previous agency left mid-project or went quiet

+Your store works but nobody knows how or why

+You’ve got years of SEO you cannot afford to lose

( Stay put if… )

You want the cheapest possible export-import

Nobody on your side can answer questions about the old system

You’re happy to lose the traffic and start fresh

Mid-project with someone else and unsure where you stand? Tell us what happened. The first conversation is free and confidential.

/ How a migration runs

URLs first, design second.

The order matters. We map URLs before we touch design. That’s what protects your traffic.

01

Week 1

Inventory

Every URL, product, customer, order and integration on the old platform, listed. Nothing gets migrated that nobody can account for.

02

Weeks 1–2

Mapping

Old URLs mapped to new ones, one by one, including the long tail. Redirects written and tested before launch, not after.

03

Weeks 2–6

Rebuild

Products, content and structure moved into Shopify with a theme that matches or improves on what you had. Data checked twice.

04

Weeks 6–8

Cutover

DNS switched at a quiet hour, redirects live from minute one, then two weeks of watching Search Console and fixing anything that moved.

On every project, in writing:  [ You see the work as it happens ]  [ A short note every Friday ]  [ Founder on every call ]  [ Everything in your accounts ]  Why we work this way →

/ Deliverables

/ In plain terms

Migration without losing SEO, explained

Traffic disappears after a replatform for one boring reason: the new site changed its URLs and nothing told Google where things went. A careful Shopify migration is therefore mostly clerical work: a complete crawl of the old site, a row-by-row map to new URLs, 301 redirects in place at cutover, and Search Console watched daily for a fortnight afterwards. Product data, customers and order history move on the same principle: exported, checked, and reconciled against counts you can verify.

Rescues work the same way but start colder. When an agency has walked away mid-build, we begin with a paid review of what exists, then give you a straight recommendation: finish it, or rebuild it properly as a custom build. Either way you get the code, the credentials and a plan you can hand to anyone.

/ FAQ ( 07 )

What people ask before replatforming.

Will we lose SEO rankings moving to Shopify?

Not if the URL mapping and redirects are done properly. Rankings wobble for a week or two while Google recrawls, then settle. The stores that lose traffic permanently are the ones that launched without redirects.

Can you migrate from WooCommerce, Magento or BigCommerce?

Yes. Those three are the most common, along with custom PHP builds and older Shopify themes. The platform matters less than how tidy the data is.

Does order and customer history come across?

Yes. Customers, addresses and historical orders migrate, though order history imports as records rather than live orders. That’s a Shopify limitation, not a shortcut on our part. Passwords never transfer on any platform; customers reset on first login.

What about our subscriptions?

Subscriptions need a like-for-like tool on the Shopify side and a coordinated switch so nobody gets double-billed or skipped. We plan that before anything else moves.

Our previous agency vanished. Can you take over?

That’s a good share of our work. We start with a short paid review of the code and accounts, then tell you plainly whether finishing or restarting is cheaper.

How long is the store down?

It isn’t. The new store is built alongside the old one and DNS switches over in minutes, typically early on a quiet weekday.

What happens after launch?

Two weeks of monitoring is included: Search Console, 404s, checkout, integrations. After that, most clients move onto ongoing care or go it alone with the documentation.

Worried about a specific integration or data set? Name it and we’ll tell you honestly whether it moves cleanly.
