/ Services — Email & retention ( 03 )

The second order is where it gets good.

Email marketing for Shopify brands, built in Klaviyo. Flows that sound like you, not like software, landing at the moments that matter, quietly bringing people back to buy again.

How we bill

Fixed setup, optional monthly

/ The sequence

A customer’s inbox, done right.

Day 0
Welcome

“Hey, glad you found us.”

The story, the bestsellers, one honest reason to come back. No 40%-off panic.

Hour 1
The left-behind cart

“Still thinking it over?”

A nudge that answers the question that stopped them: shipping, sizing, returns.

Day 3
Post-purchase

“It’s on the way. Here’s how to get the most from it.”

Care tips, what pairs with it, when to expect it. The email that earns the review.

Day 45
Win-back

“Been a while. This is what’s new.”

Timed to your actual repurchase cycle, not a generic 30-day timer.

( Six flows built once — running every hour of the year without anyone opening a laptop )

/ Scope

What we set up.

Everything runs in your Klaviyo account, in your name, in your voice. We write, design, build, and test. You approve.

01The core flows: welcome, cart, browse, post-purchase, win-back

02A campaign calendar you can actually keep up with

03Segments that mean something: VIPs, fading, first-timers

04Signup forms that don’t insult your homepage

05SMS, if and only if it suits your brand

/ Fit

When email is your best next move.

Email pays when you have something worth saying and enough customers to say it to. Here’s when it’s the right next move.

( Start now if… )

+You have a list you’re barely using

+Repeat purchase is possible: consumables, refills, seasons

+You’re spending on ads to reach people who already bought

+Your flows were set up once, in a hurry, years ago

( Wait a while if… )

The list is under a few hundred people

You want daily discount blasts

Nobody on your side can approve copy in a reasonable time

Not sure your list is big enough yet? Tell us the numbers and we’ll say whether this earns its keep for you today.

/ How it gets built

Flows before campaigns.

Automated email earns while you sleep; campaigns need a person every week.

01

Week 1

Audit

What’s sending now, what’s earning, what’s quietly hurting deliverability. Plus a hard look at how the list is segmented.

02

Weeks 1–2

Foundations

Authentication, sending domain and list hygiene sorted first, otherwise the best email in the world lands in spam.

03

Weeks 2–5

Flows

Welcome, browse and cart abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, winback. Written in your voice, designed to match your store.

04

Week 6

Hand over

Templates your team can reuse, a calendar you can follow, and a monthly review if you want us to keep an eye on it.

On every project, in writing:  [ You see the work as it happens ]  [ A short note every Friday ]  [ Founder on every call ]  [ Everything in your accounts ]  Why we work this way →

Klaviyo flows & retention, explained

Retention email is mostly automation. Six flows do the heavy lifting for nearly every store: a welcome series that earns the first order, browse and cart abandonment that catch people who were nearly there, a post-purchase sequence that reduces support tickets and sets up the second order, replenishment timed to how long your product actually lasts, and a winback for customers going quiet. Built once, written properly, they run for years with light maintenance.

Before any of that matters, the mechanics have to be right: an authenticated sending domain, a clean list, and segments based on real buying behaviour rather than one big ‘all subscribers’. Deliverability is boring and it’s the difference between a flow that earns and one that lands in the promotions tab. If you’d rather start where the traffic already is, speed & conversion work and landing pages are the other two places we see money left behind.

/ FAQ ( 07 )

What people ask before rebuilding their email.

How much of our revenue should come from email?

For most stores with repeat potential, 20–30% is a realistic target. Much above that usually means paid acquisition has stalled; much below means flows are missing or misfiring.

Which flows should we build first?

Welcome and cart abandonment earn fastest, then post-purchase. Replenishment and winback matter more the longer you’ve been trading and the more customers you have to bring back.

Do you work with Klaviyo only?

Klaviyo is our default because its Shopify integration is the deepest. We’re happy in Omnisend, Mailchimp or Customer.io if you’re already invested, and we’ll say if a move is worth it.

Why are our emails going to spam?

Nine times out of ten it’s authentication, a shared sending domain, or emailing people who stopped opening months ago. All three are fixable in the first fortnight.

Will you write the emails?

Yes. First drafts in your voice, which you edit. Email copy is better when the brand’s own words come through, so we treat it as a collaboration rather than a delivery.

Should we send SMS too?

Only for genuinely time-sensitive things: shipping updates, restocks, a real deadline. SMS costs more per message and people’s patience for it is shorter.

Can our team run it after handover?

That’s the plan. You get templates, a sending calendar and training. Some clients keep us on monthly for campaign work through ongoing care.

Curious what your flows are actually earning? We’ll take a look. Reading a Klaviyo account takes us about an hour.
